New Build In Dartington
This was a brown field site, with a dilapidated youth hostel. We constructed a new four bedroom luxury home with underfloor heating, solar panels and an air source heat pump.
The house was insulated far in excess of Building Regulations, with high specification timber windows, and multiple different finishes.
All external landscaping was carried out, including bridging a stream, running through the property.
The new owners instructed a number of modifications which were incorporated into the build.
A Conversion In Salcombe
This project involved the partial demolition of a stable complex, to form a six bedroom home.
We introduced the client to our architect, to help design a spectacular building, introducing light into a very deep floor plate.
The attention to detail created a beautifully simple appearance, requiring great effort and accuracy during the build.
This timber staircase cantilevers from the wall, with glass balustrades, maximising the light in the stair well. With the large roof skylights, light floods into the lounge and mezzanine.
An Extension in Landscove
For this extension, we demolished two existing structures. The project was complex, as it involved diversion of an adopted sewer, and very deep foundations, due to poor ground. In addition, we worked with an ecologist to mitigate the loss of bat roost, by providing additional bat boxes around the house.
Underfloor heating was installed, to work with the existing boiler system. The vaulted ceiling works well to create a sense of space.
