About Us
We specialise in the construction of luxury homes, but also work on barn conversions, extensions and refurbishment.
We have a core team of four, but draw on the resources of well tested subcontractors for specialist trades, some of which we have been working with since 2003.
Background
Ian Catherall is the senior director of the company, is very hands on and works on site on a daily basis.
Having graduated from university as a Construction Engineer, Ian worked for Wimpey Construction in site management until 1996, on major London office developments.
He achieved full Member Status of his professional body, The Chartered Institute of Building in 1994.
From 1996 until 2003, Ian worked for CB Richard Ellis as a Project Manager overseeing and managing London city centre developments, including Lloyds Register of Shipping, a Richards Rogers designed development.
In 2003 the family relocated to Devon, and Cedar Tor was formed. Due to Ian’s background, the programming and sequencing of house building and extensions comes naturally. This is both efficient and highly cost effective, minimising site construction times.
